Dan Jiang graduated in Traditional Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine (TCM) at Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1978. She obtained two more post-graduate degrees; TCM Classical Literature in 1982 and TCM Diagnosis with her Medical Masters degree in 1987. She lectured, practised and supervised students at the University’s affiliated hospital until 1991.

Dan Jiang is a fellow and mentor of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (UK, ATCM), and she is the founder and former editor in chief of the Journal of ATCM. In recent years, she has published more than 20 professional papers and a book titled “Principle and Practice of Chinese Medicine in the West”.

One of her papers “Analysis of 50 Cases of ME treated with Traditional Acupuncture and Chinese herbal Medicine” was awarded for Excellent Paper in the 1995 second International Conference of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicines in Los Angeles USA. She has appeared in both Chinese and Western media for her success and experienced practice in TCM

She has been practising TCM in the UK since 1991 with a great reputation and success rates at her clinics in Sheffield, Manchester and London. In 2003, she started a specialised TCM consultancy in Harley Street, London. She has some unique ideas and experiences for TCM practice in the West and she is a TCM expert in treating the following: neurological diseases, infectious diseases, internal diseases, women’s health problems and infertility, pain management, cancer care and much more.

Furthermore, Dan Jiang is a senior visiting senior lecturer for Middlesex University in the UK and Vice-Principal for Asante Academy of Chinese Medicine; an affiliated clinical teaching and research centre of the University. She is also a visiting professor for TCM at Universities in China, Austria and France.

She is a clinical TCM consultant at the GP-TCM research consortium, which covers 27 research groups in both Europe and China. She is therefore involved in research projects on acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine within various Universities.
