Professor Dan Jiang

Professor Dan Jiang is a renowned Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) consultant, honoured by the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS). She serves as a visiting professor and special awarded TCM consultant at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Professor Jiang is a Fellow of the British Acupuncture Council and a Fellow & Mentor of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ATCM).

She graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine with a bachelor’s degree in TCM in 1978 and earned her master’s medical degrees in 1982 and 1987. Since 1991, she has been practising acupuncture and TCM in Sheffield and Harley Street, London.

Professor Jiang is the editor-in-chief of “Principle & Practice of TCM in the West” and “TCM in Management of Long Covid-19 Syndrome.” She has authored and co-authored over 50 professional papers published in international medical and scientific journals.

Dr. Dan Jiang completed her degree in Traditional Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine at Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1978. She obtained postgraduate degrees in TCM Classical Literature in 1982 and TCM Diagnosis with her master’s degree in 1987. Until 1991, she lectured, practised, and supervised students at the University’s affiliated hospital.

Dr Dan Jiang has been practising TCM in the UK since 1991 with a commendable reputation and success at her clinics in Sheffield, Manchester, and London. In 2003, she started a specialised TCM consultancy on Harley Street, London. She is known for her unique ideas and expertise in treating neurological diseases, infectious diseases, internal conditions, women’s health problems, infertility, pain management, cancer care, and more. Additionally, Dr Dan Jiang is a senior visiting lecturer for Middlesex University in the UK and Vice-Principal of the Asante Academy of Chinese Medicine, an affiliated clinical teaching and research centre of the University. She is also a visiting professor for TCM at universities in China, Austria, and France.

Dr. Dan Jiang is a clinical TCM consultant at the GP-TCM research consortium, covering 27 research groups in Europe and China. She participates in various acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine research projects within universities.

She is a fellow and mentor of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (UK, ATCM) and the founder and former editor-in-chief of the Journal of ATCM. In recent years, she has published over 20 professional papers and a book titled “Principle and Practice of Chinese Medicine in the West”. Her paper “Analysis of 50 Cases of ME treated with Traditional Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine” received an Excellent Paper award at the 1995 second International Conference of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicines in Los Angeles. Dr Dan Jiang has been featured in both Chinese and Western media for her successful and experienced TCM practice.
